I once had a client tell me that they were told by agencies that if your website design is cheap, it may be safe to assume that your designer will take as many shortcuts as possible.
I’d like to call bologna on that. A freelance designer like myself can offer creative services which are more affordable because we do not have the overhead of a huge staff, luxury office downtown, and over-priced equipment that might be part of that bill. Instead, I offer a fair compensation plan based on the estimated hours involved in a project at a lower hourly rate (less overhead and all remember?). You still get great creative service and the only shortcuts involved are the ones you take to reach me when you have a question or need assistance.
When I estimate a project, I typically allot time for research and analytics, concept development, feedback and review, production, testing, final publishing, promotion and support. After a conversation with the client regarding their needs I can get a fairly good idea regarding those areas and their estimate. I’ve had several projects recently that I’ve estimated about a third to half the cost of other larger agencies. My clients are happy with their results.
If you have a website project in mind, email me or give me a call and let me give you a FREE estimate. I look forward to learning more about your project.
